		The Kite festival happens in the month of January. From dawn to dusk, people of all ages fly kites rejoicing in the spirit of the day. The blue January sky is enlivened by kites of different colours and hues. Kites soar in the sky, their lines moving as if alive.

		The textile industry of India is a result of centuries of a complex yet colourful juxtaposition of cultural influences, climate conditions, geographical factors and trade. With their sheer beauty, colour and artistry, they have woven their way to win the hearts of both royalty and the common people across the country.

		For the Indian woman, jewellery was and is, even today in many parts considered as a security, the value of which will almost always accentuate, never depreciate. the indegenious meenakari jewellery comes in all colours. Bangles, the decorative ornaments have over the centuries acquired a cultural, social and religious significance. Hindu women consider it auspicious to wear glass bangles of different colours.
